TRIP OVERVIEW
Pichincha is the closest volcano to Quito and therefore one of the most visited. This great mountain is made of three main peaks: the Rucu Pichincha or Old Pichincha, which was the ancient crater of the volcano; the Padre Encantado and the Guagua Pichincha or Niño Pichincha, which is the new crater that opens to the west. The route that runs through the Pichincha is an excellent alternative to discovering its main elevations. Begin this adventure in Quito from your hotel and arrive at the parking lot of the Guagua Pichincha Volcano at 11:00 pm. Then, we will start our trekking from the Guagua Pichincha Volcano to the Rucu Pichincha at 11:30 pm approx. (going to the peaks of Guagua Pichincha, Padre Encantado, Cerro Ladrillos and Summit of the Rucu Pichincha Volcano). Estimated walking time: 8 -10 hours / Difficulty: Intermediate. After this, at 6:00 am enjoy the view of the sunrise from the Rucu Pichincha Volcano. We will have a picnic breakfast outdoors at 8:30 am. Our adventure will end at 9:30 am approx. boarding the cable car down to the parking lot and then we will return to your hotel.
Meals included: Traditional Lunch.
NOTE.– Minimum 2 people to run the tour!
